Movie Review: Law Abiding Citizen

If you haven't seen Law Abiding Citizen yet, you most definitely need to. I haven't seen a really good movie all year, but this movie which was released Friday takes the cake.

Some movies that I have seen in the past start off very slow and it takes time for the movie to build-up to something great. However, Law Abiding Citizen starts with suspense. The first scene will have you at the edge of your seat with your mouth open.

I must admit that I'm a sucker for a Jamie Foxx movie; he always gives them that extra zest. He hasn't failed me yet.

And the gentleman that's his co-star, Gerard Butler (Clyde Shelton) did a phenomenal job as well. This man played a heck of a role and did what any parent would think about doing if someone attacked their family.

In the first scene Clyde Shelton's home is invaded and his wife and daughter are murdered. As the movie progresses all counterparts involved in the murders; including the lawyers, cops, criminals, and innocent by-standers are targets for revenge.

Jamie Foxx (Nick Rice) who plays a lawyer becomes a target, after he lets the criminals of the crime off easy. Shelton begins to send Rice on a wild goose chase to figure out whose killing all the people involved in the case.

All of Rice’s co-workers are being murdered one- by- one; eventually Rice realizes that he may be the last one to die.

Throughout the movie Shelton's insanity becomes very obvious, but at the same time he's sane.

He knows the law very well and he uses his profession and his financial status to create the movie's most shocking turn of events.

With that being said, Shelton is a braniac and will do any and everything to make a point.

As I stated before, Law Abiding Citizen, is a must see. Don't bootleg it or hear about via your friends, co-workers, church members, or Thanx Janay!

Go see it!!!!

Support Jamie Foxx and also the movie.

F.Y.I. If you’re on a budget, go see the movie during matinee times...it’s cheaper.
