McNair final hours revealed

Whew! The news that is unraveling from the McNair/Kazemi murder-suicide is something else. The AP in Nashville is reporting that they have tracked text messages from Kazemi and McNair's cell phones prior to the deaths.

About 50 msgs were released Monday night, and this is what they said, according to the Associated Press in Nashville.

“…Sahel Kazemi (sah-HEHL’ kah-ZEE’-mee) texted McNair on July 3 to say she was so stressed she might have a breakdown and asked for $2,000 to pay bills. One text said she might need to go to a hospital because she could hardly breathe.

Police say texts show McNair had someone transfer the money. The texts also show Kazemi meeting McNair at the Nashville condominium where he was shot. He asked her to leave the front door open for him

Kazemi’s texts to McNair talk of her showing furniture she planned to sell to some people and how she was at a store “trying to fix” her phone. She wanted to pay bills before going to work. When she said she could hardly breathe, McNair asked if she wanted him to come over. She said she would take a nap.

McNair texted her that afternoon, saying he had someone transfer the money.

Kazemi, later texted McNair three times asking to be with him that night. He said he was having trouble getting his sons to sleep. But at that time, McNair was seen at a restaurant with friends. Kazemi texted she was going to his condo. He texted back at 12:38 a.m. that he was on his way and asked her to open the front door at 12:52 a.m. Kazemi told him at 1:14 a.m. it was open…”

These text messages reveal what I already knew already, it reveals that McNair bit off more than he could chew by getting involved with another woman.

He had wined and dined Kazemi and filled her poor little mind up with lies, saying that he was going to divorce his wife!

Kazemi couldn't take anymore, her life was falling apart, McNair was still married and had no intentions on leaving his wife, and above all that he was sleeping with other women.

I wish the outcome of this story was different, but, unfortunately its not. This is just terrible.

Cosby makes album, no joke

Bill Cosby is releasing a Hip-Hop album. LOL! I was shocked also when I heard the news. And guess what? He collaborated with LL, Eric Clapton, and Alicia Keys on his Album.

His debut album is called, Bill Cosby Presents: The Cosnerati: State Of Emergency.

"I don't like referring to the music as clean," Cosby's quoted telling Boombox. "What I like is 'what you're not going to do.' You're not going to curse. You're not going to put women down. You're not going to put the glory of the gun somewhere. And you're not going to put a whole lot of violence up front like that's the thing that will cleanse you and make you feel better."

Hmmm...I wonder if he's trying to make a statement or is he trying to make some money. Maybe, his first single will be a no.1 hit and he'll sell a million copies in the first week.

Suddenly, I got an urge for a puddin' pop. Go to the link below to take a listen to the entire CD or purchase. Enjoy!

Adolescent suicide rates increase

According to a 2007 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention survey of high school students, one out of every seven Latina teens, or 14 percent, attempts suicide.  And Latina high school students have higher attempted suicide rates than white non-Hispanic (7.7 percent) or black non-Hispanic (9.9 percent) girls their age, the CDC reports.

According to the Surgeon General, a youth commits suicide every two hours in our country. Suicide claims more adolescents than any disease or natural cause.

Adolescents now commit suicide at a higher rate than the national average of all ages. The rate of adolescent suicide in adolescent males has tripled between 1960 and 1980. Suicide rates for adolescent females have increased between two to three fold.

There have been striking increases in suicidal behaviors among African American males, Native American males and children under 14. Much of the increase can be accounted for by deaths due to guns.

Warning Signs:

Suicidal talk

Preoccupation with death and dying.

Signs of depression

Behavioral changes

Giving away special possessions and making arrangements to take care of unfinished business.

Difficulty with appetite and sleep

Taking excessive risks

Increased drug use

Loss of interest in usual activities
